“The Do Not Call Register was meant to help block unwanted callers, but it's simply not working because charities are exempt from the law.
New research from CHOICE shows almost all Australians have received a call from someone they don't know, asking for money - and they’re sick of it.
That's why CHOICE is launching a new campaign to stop unwanted calls.
Unwanted phone calls are irritating for most people, but they can be incredibly distressing for vulnerable people - like some of our elderly relatives”.
